
Popular Blended Smoothie Drink Selections
Food for thought:
- Use a blender verses a juicer to capture the additional nutritional & fiber elements found in the skin
- Make more than you will immediately consume so that you can store in your refrigerator as a snack for later
Pre-Exercise
Amazing Apple Smoothie
- 2 cups organic apple sauce
- 1 cup of organic orange juice
- 2 tablespoons Vermont maple syrup
Combine all ingredients in a blender & blend until smooth.

Apple Pie Smoothie
- 1/2 peeled, chopped apple
Blend. Great substitute for applesauce! Control the consistency by adding more or less chopped apple.

Lemon Energy Drink
- 1/3 Cup lemon juice (organic lemons if possible)
- 1 Serving of Nutritionally Green’s Complete Oranges (energy producing formulation)
- 1 Quart water (filtered if possible)
Mix together and chill. The nice thing about this drink is that it can be altered easily. For instance you can add more or less of nearly any of the ingredients. You can even switch out the water and substitute fruit juice, depending on your taste. I usually prepare this ahead of time and let it chill over night. If I want I can even put it in the freezer and let it thaw as I ride.

Strawberry Energy Drink
- 1/2 c. frozen strawberries
- 1/3 c. non-fat dry milk powder
- 1 Serving of Nutritionally Green’s Complete Reds (enhanced aerobic formulation)
Place strawberries, honey, milk, peach halves and lemon juice in blender container. Cover; blend on high speed until fruit is pureed. Add ice cubes. Cover; blend on high speed until ice is finely chopped.
